A ver big storm which caused the wadis to be flooded and the roads to be turned into rivers.

There has been a lot of rain in the past few days in the Arabian peninsula.

Bananas from Oman

These bananas were very tiny but full of goodness. I bought a few and was very glad I did as I had a very long and quite scarey journey home/back to the hotel and needed all the food I had managed to bring along to keep me going.

In the Al Ain Oasis

To the accompaniment to the sweet sounds of birds singing, in the coolness of a late afternoon in mid-November in the beautiful and very green Al Ain Oasis. Yesterday afternoon, in between a heavy storm in Oman the day before and a quiet grey afternoon in Amsterdam today.
